Firm Overview

The attorneys at Young & Nichols have more than 100 years of legal experience among them. In that time we have developed our own vision of how a firm should practice law: We believe that persistent diligence gives our injured clients confidence and it best provides them the access they need to properly be served by the judicial system.

For many clients, this is the most important legal battle they will ever face. Our clients depend upon our judgment and professional ability to make the difficult decisions and to fight for them in a venue like a court of law—a venue that many of our clients have never even seen in person, only on television. We take this responsibility very seriously. It is an honor and a privilege when clients trust us with their future and their well-being.

Always…With The People

“Always…With The People” means that your needs are our needs. If you or a loved one has been seriously injured; if a workplace accident has stolen a loved one from you; if you are fighting a bitter legal battle over the contents of a will; we are always with you. You have plenty of other related issues to worry about; you can feel confident and rest easy knowing that your needs are being represented, that your needs have a powerful voice, both in court and at the negotiating table.

In our experience, there is one trait that seems to be present in every successful case: the attorneys have actually sat down and listened to their clients. They have been attentive and empathetic. It is not enough to simply go to bat for a client—a lawyer must first listen to them, and understand what their goals are. When everyone is fully informed, and when everyone understands both the benefits and the drawbacks regarding every legal option, clients can make informed legal decisions in even the most baffling and confounding cases.

When a prospective client reaches out to us, the first person he or she will likely meet will be our firm’s case investigator, Tom. This former Detective Sergeant from the Kern County Sheriff’s Department has spent the better part of 40 years investigating cases for Young & Nichols, and he handles our firm’s initial intake.
